|This is NOT a contest!
|We're just a group of VAMBies having fun flexing our scribing muscles. Enjoy reading our responses to the monthly challenge - they could be a long story, a short story, a small scene, a poem, a drabble, a vignette, anything! The idea is just to write and feedback is always welcome!
Check out VAMB on the link below -- and welcome!

|JANUARY'S CHALLENGE (2005)
(courtesy of Gilly)
this pic and thought it might cue someone to expand on J/C
canon a bit. Remember in "Shattered" Chakotay was trying
to convince Janeway that he was who he said he was and that
he was her XO? He says something like (paraphrasing here), "You once told me you never learned to play an instrument and it was one of your greatest regrets."???

|“What if the Admiral had been slightly wrong? Either her timing was a little off (it was 25 years later, after all) or if she was from a slightly different universe?
When the Admiral tells Captain Janeway about Chakotay and Seven, the Captain is devastated. When she asks him to lunch, and he says he's busy, she is totally convinced that he is seeing Seven, and so she goes out of her way to avoid them. In fact, she is so hurt, she avoids everybody for the rest of the trip, and even skipped out on some of the welcome home stuff, so she won't see anyone who might say anything about them being together.
But what if the Admiral was wrong? What if Chakotay actually was busy, with work? A counselling session or something. What if he never did/never would have dated Seven? What if all the Maquis start to take it personally, and think that now they're home, Janeway doesn't want anything to do with them, it wouldn't be good for her career?
What if it isn't until Miral's second birthday when they accidentally meet up again? And Chakotay and B'Elanna especially are still so mad/hurt at the way she treated them?”
